As Spring turns into Summer.

Spring as seen through the lens of my camera.

Pansies fighting their way through a gap in the concrete.

Clematis with their overwhelming masses of blossoms.

The intricate details of a Clematis flower.

Something as benign as a Dandelion shows its complexity.

Late spring in Connemara.

A little walk through Connemara on a day in late spring not far away from the old railway line, which used to run from Galway to Clifden.

A field of buttercups.

The remains of the old railway dam.

A door on an old railway building.

A walk near Lough Corrib, Connemara, County Galway

A fabulous day.

Came across these unusual but rather vibrant coloured mushrooms growing in very damp surroundings.

Name: Bog Beacon
Scientific Name: Mitrula paludosa
Edibility: not edible

This small yellow species can be found from Spring to Summer, often in considerable numbers in damp boggy woodlands between plant debris or leaf litter.
